June 28, 2018I love the idea of a slightly abstract lion. But myself being O.C.D., I need a little more balance by way of a better blend. On the right side outer edge I would have done a wee less floral design in order to have a edge of lion mane showing. You only have 2 - 3 strands offered, where a complete edge would make it look like it belongs on the lion. Not two different pictures pasted together. Thanks, Lori

June 21, 2018I love this design....I think it is one of my favorites.....This is the second one that I have colored and I wanted to do something different with it......I had it copied on medium gray color cardstock and used that as the color of the face although I lightly colored over it with some light and medium grey color pencils, then a little black in the grayscale areas......I used complimenting colors for the leaves and put some light gray in the mane and that one white streak, which gave it come contrast.....then I outlined everything with gel pens although that is hard to see in the photograph! This one was fun to do!

I loved this design! It was pretty easy to color and I love how it turned out for me! It can be colored in so many different ways.....each colorist has their own interpretation of how they want this lion to look! This is mine! I was undecided as to whether to I wanted to lightly color in the background or not, so I decided to leave it alone as I didn't want to take anything away from the colored design!
